Bruce Lee often described his art of Jeet Kune Do as:
Simple, Direct, and Non-Classical
Simple:  Instead of adding more and more to your art,  you take out more and more.  Like Lee would say,”Hack away the unessentials”
Direct:  “Everything in the art is stripped to its essential components”  There are no fancy movements.
Non-Classical: There are no classical postures or, as Lee put it, “dissection of movements, first you do this, then you do this”.  Jeet Kune Do is alive, it is the personal expression of the practitioner.
