What Should I Expect to Learn in a Jeet Kune Do Class?

Jeet Kune Do Training

Jeet Kune Do was made popular by the martial artist, Bruce Lee. This form of martial arts training incorporates principles from boxing and fencing and borrows elements from Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and kickboxing. If you are considering enrolling in a martial arts class, you might be surprised at what you will learn by taking a Jeet Kune Do class.

You will learn how to use your elbows, knees, and feet to strike an opponent. You will also learn countless skills that will aid you in defending yourself and your loved ones. You will learn that you are far more capable than you ever imagined. You will learn that you are strong both physically and mentally. You will learn that you can dig deep within yourself and reach goals that at some point might have otherwise seemed lofty.

When you decide to take a Jeet Kune Do class, you will also learn that working out can be fun. Sometimes people get bored with going to the gym, and for good reason. The repetition of traditional workouts is a turn off for many, and unfortunately, the on-again-off-again cycle of working out can contribute to negative self-talk. Remember, consistency is key in any workout regimen, and when you forget that you are working out because you are having so much fun, you are prone to stick with the program.

If you would like to learn more about yourself and Jeet Kune Do, contact the experts at NY Martial Arts Academy and let our trainers tell you more about the ways Jeet Kune Do can benefit you.
